1. What Datini is

Software that builds books, forecasts and answers from the records you give it. Every answer shows its evidence and says what holds, what does not, and what could not be checked.

Datini is not an accountant, an auditor, or a tax, legal or investment adviser. You, or the accountant you work with, decide what to file and sign. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.

2. Your account

Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what is done from your account, including by agent keys you create.

Only upload records you have the right to use: your own company's, or a client's who has agreed.

3. Paying

You put credit in through Stripe, and each unit of work takes a little out: a page read, a judgment, a question. The prices are on the site and in the app, and every charge is listed in Usage.

Bought credit lasts twelve months from the top-up; the welcome credit lasts 30 days. Credit already used is not refunded. If you close your account, mail us and we refund what is left, less any payment fees.

If we raise a price, we tell you at least 30 days before. A price cut takes effect at once.

4. Your data

Your books stay yours. You let us store and process them only to run Datini for you, as the privacy page describes. You can export or delete them at any time.

5. Fair use

Do not try to reach other customers' data, overload the service, get around the billing, or use Datini for anything illegal. We may suspend an account that does, and we will tell you why.

6. An early service

Datini is new and changes often. We work to keep it running and correct, but it comes as it is, without a promise that it will never be down or never be wrong.

As far as the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits a liability the law does not let us limit.

7. Ending

You can stop at any time and delete your companies and account. We can end the service with 30 days' notice, and we give you time to export your books first.

8. Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we mail you before it takes effect. Questions go to hello@datini.app.
